Privacy Policy

TuneLT provides tuning, pitch detection, OCR, presets, setlists, sharing, optional iCloud sync, ads, subscriptions, analytics, and crash diagnostics. We do not run a custom backend that stores your audio, photos, or scan results.

Data we collect

• Microphone audio: used on-device only for pitch detection; the app does not upload or retain recordings.
• Camera/photos: used to capture or choose tuning images and recognize text or note names on-device; images are not sent to our servers.
• Local storage: presets, setlists, tuning history, language, reference pitch, subscription cache, sync state, and UI preferences are kept on your device.
• Analytics: Firebase Analytics may receive app events such as screen views, feature usage, app version, build number, platform, app environment, instrument IDs, preset IDs, and setlist IDs. TuneLT does not send raw song titles, recordings, photos, or scan results in analytics events.
• Crash diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash reports, stack traces, device/app diagnostics, and related event context to help fix defects.
• Ads: Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform may process device, ad, consent, and usage signals to show ads and manage privacy choices.
• Purchases: App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription status, product identifiers, transaction metadata, and restore information.
• Optional iCloud sync: if iCloud Sync is enabled, preset, setlist, and tuning data is stored in your Apple iCloud key-value store and associated with your Apple account.
• Sharing: TuneLT share links, QR codes, JSON, and .tunelt files contain the shared preset or setlist data inside the payload. Anyone you send them to can read/import that payload.

Data we do not collect

• We do not ask for names, phone numbers, or email addresses inside the app.
• We do not receive payment card details; purchases are handled by App Store or Google Play.
• We do not upload microphone recordings, selected photos, recognized scan images, or scan results to our custom servers.

How we use data

• Provide tuning, pitch detection, image selection, and OCR functionality on-device.
• Remember presets, setlists, tuning history, language, reference pitch, subscription state, sync state, and preferences.
• Operate ads, subscriptions, purchase restoration, iCloud sync, support diagnostics, and app quality analytics.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We use trusted processors including Google/Firebase, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play for analytics, crash diagnostics, ads, consent management, purchases, subscriptions, and optional iCloud sync. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

GDPR rights (EEA/UK)

• You can remove local data by deleting presets/setlists, disabling iCloud Sync, or uninstalling the app.
• You can manage ad consent and privacy choices when prompted by the app, and you can revoke microphone, camera, or photo permissions in system settings.

• We do not sell or share your personal information.

Consent & control

• You can revoke microphone, camera, or photo permissions in system settings; related tuning or OCR features will stop without them.
• You can stop sharing a TuneLT payload by not sending the link/file/QR code, but already shared payloads may remain accessible to recipients.
• You can cancel or manage subscriptions through App Store or Google Play account settings.

Data retention

• Local data stays on your device until you delete presets or uninstall the app.
• Optional iCloud sync data remains in iCloud until you disable/delete it through the app or Apple account/device controls.
• Third-party services retain analytics, crash, ad, and purchase records according to their own retention practices.

Children's privacy

This app targets a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Security

We minimize custom server-side storage and avoid uploading audio/photos/scan results. Keep your device and app up to date, and only share TuneLT payloads with people who should receive the contained tuning data.

Changes

Important updates will be announced in-app or in the store listing. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
